MESSAGE NOTIFIER HELP

The notifier is designed to make using Jamego even easier!

What is the Message Notifier?
The Message Notifier is designed to alert you to having received a new email, new SMS or new notification (chat invite/address book request) while you are logged into Jamego.

Each time you refresh the Jamego menu by choosing a menu item (such as 'Address Book' or 'Edit Profile') Jamego checks to see if you have any new emails, SMS messages or notifications and puts an asterisk ( ) or an exclamation mark ( ) next to the appropriate menu item.

However, if you don't often refresh the page then the Message Notifier will check for you and let you know if there is a new email, SMS or notification!

How do I use the Notifier?
The notifier text will light up if there is a new message. So, when you have no messages then the text is Grey such as in the picture below:



When you receive an email, SMS or notification then that particular text will light up.

  • A new SMS message will light the SMS text up purple.
  • A new email will light the email text up red.
  • A new notification will light the notification text up yellow.

    • The image below shows all the alerts active on the notifier - but each one is independent and you can have one or two lit up and the other one or two remaining grey:



    Also if you have sounds turned on then the notifier will play a sound.

    You can click on the text in the notifier to go to the page for that particular item. (The same effect is given by clicking on the menu items above the Message Notifier)

    Now do I turn off Notifier Sounds/the Notifier itself?
    Under the edit profile section of Jamego you can choose down the bottom to turn off either just the sounds for the notifier or the notifier itself.
