Jamego Glossary of Terms

Add Contact
Add Contact allows you to select people in the room to add to your address book. The system sends a request which must be authorized before the status of the subscriber is shown.

Address Book
Shows address book contacts, their time zone and short country code. If the user is online the contacts name will be displayed in bold and when the cursor hovers over contact the status bar shows their online status.

Chat Applet
The Jamego chat applet provides a real time chat interface between the web and WAP.

Chat Rooms
The mobile chat room menu "refresh" button is used to refresh the messages.Select 'reply', and choose to send a new message. The message is then displayed for everyone in the room to view.

Email

Invite Person
Sends an invitational request to the selected username to come to a particular room. Recipient can be online or offline to receive the request.

New email notification
The system will tell you when a new message has arrived by a change in colour of the notification icon at the bottom of the chat applet window or by SMS notification.

Private Message/Whisper
Used to send a amessage to a particular person in the room. Only that person selected will see the message.

Primary Email
Your primary email is an external email, such as a hotmail/ISP-based address.
